What I love about this painting is its joy, perhaps found in its colors, perhaps in the soft and gentle movement of the milk. It reminds me of summer breakfasts from my childhood, when school was over and I got up late, characterized by a strong blistering heat, and eating seasonal fruit and fresh milk.  I love the challenge of recreating the dynamic movement of liquids on a flat surface.
